Vinny Price wins third and final leg of GUKPT Summer Series

vinnyprice21-year-old Vinny Price from Birmingham has won the third leg of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Summer Series in Walsall. Price outlasted 121 other players in the £500 buy-in event earning himself £16,000 after making a deal to split the prize money with his heads-up opponent Toby Lewis.

After the deal had been made Price and Lewis continued to play for the trophy and a seat in the Champion of Champions event. The final hand saw Price make a full house when his 6-4 on a 6-4-9-4-8 board beat Lewis’s K-9.

131 players entered the £200 side event which was won by Leigh Gould who took home £8,380. The £300 side event attracted 95 players. Tony Phillips emerged victorious beating Waheed Ashraf heads-up for £9,400.

The GUKPT Online Summer Festival begins on Blue Square Poker on July 20th. The live tour will be returning on August 1st in Luton with further festivals being held in Cardiff, Thanet, Blackpool and London before the Champion of Champions Festival which commences on November 30th.
